Pehr Osbeck: born 1723 in the crofter's cottage Os in Hålanda parish in Västergötland, student in Uppsala 1745, chaplain with the Svenska Ostindiska kompaniet and traveled 1750-1752 to China with the ship "Prins Carl", family chaplain at K. G. Tessin and curator of the natural history collections at the castle of Läckö 1752, parish priest in Hasslöf and Våxtorp in Halland 1760, rural dean 1773, Doctor of Divinity 1778, dead 1805 in Hasslöf.
